Tow Releases for Paragliding Winch Towing
A suitable paragliding tow release is a central part of the equipment used for winch towing. It connects the pilot to the tow line and allows the pilot to release the tow line in a controlled manner. Depending on the harness and rescue system, different designs and attachment solutions may be appropriate.
Our range includes textile tow releases, split tow releases and systems with integrated towing assistance. The split Easy Quick models, for example, are designed for pilots using a front container or front-mounted reserve parachute. Independence textile tow releases are available in different versions, including the SK2 with integrated towing assistance.
When choosing a tow release, important factors include compatibility with the harness and rescue system, attachment method and the design of the release itself. Suitable tow adapters or express slings are available for certain systems to ensure the release can be mounted correctly to the existing equipment.
A properly matched tow release is not only a matter of handling, but also of correct integration into the complete system. Installation, positioning and use should therefore always follow the manufacturer's instructions and the configuration specified for the respective harness.
