Front Containers for Reserve Parachutes
A front container allows the reserve parachute to be positioned in front of the pilot and provides a practical alternative to an integrated reserve compartment in the harness. It can be particularly useful for harnesses without an integrated reserve compartment.
Depending on the design, front containers accommodate a reserve parachute and feature a hook-and-loop surface for attaching flight instruments. This allows variometers and other flight electronics to be positioned clearly in front of the pilot. When choosing a front container, size, installation method and compatibility with the harness and reserve parachute should be considered.
